Gift Ideas for Christmas

With less than a month until December 25th, it's definitely time to start thinking about making a wishlist and doing Christmas shopping! But if you're like me, you'll tend to leave buying gifts to the last minute, but DO NOT PANIC! Whether you're buying for your Mum, Dad, best friend or little sister/brother, I've got the perfect list of gift ideas for everyone!

For Mum:
(Going in clockwise direction)
1. Flower vase
You simply can't go wrong with a vase for Mum to put her flowers in. Simple, decorative, colourful or plain - a vase is a lovely gift to receive! This one is a poinsettia bud vase from liberty.co.uk.
2. Perfume
Give your mother a gorgeous perfume and I promise she'll love it! Eternity by Calvin Klein is perfect for older women, or try Coco by Chanel.
3. Jewellery
A necklace, ring or bracelet is a present your Mum is sure to love. This gorgeous diamond bracelet is can be found on nordstrom.com.
4. Slippers
These slippers featured are cosy knit slippers from UGG Australia, which can be found at ugg.com
5. Wrinkle Minimizer
Hopefully your Mum won't be offended if you give her this, but it really is the perfect gift for an aging woman! This DDF product is a Wrinkle Resist Pore Minimizer Moisturizing Serum, and is perfect for smoothing out skin.
6. Watch
There's nothing nicer than receiving a gorgeous watch, especially if it's good quality. This silver chronograph watch featured is from DKNY. Note that most older women prefer slimmer watches over big chunky ones!
7. Mug
Yes, this gift may not seem so exciting, but if you have a mother like mine who loves her coffee or tea, it's just what they want! And mugs don't have to be boring - try looking for ones with funny illustrations or slogans, or even personalised ones! The mug featured is from retroplanet.com.
8. Bookmark
If your Mum likes reading, buy her a bookmark! Not only are they cheaper than most presents, but many are so cute as well. And if you want your face to pop up every time your Mum opens her book, then buy a personalised bookmark like this one, which is an antique style brass bookmark from 1928.com.
9. Cookbook
You can never have too many cookbooks, my Mum says. And this one is great! Made especially for busy mothers, this is Jessica Seinfeld's Double Delicious cookbook, filled with so many yummy recipes for the family!

For Dad:
1. iPhone
If your Dad is into his technology, he's sure to love an iPhone. Plus, with the new iPhone 4S having just come out, there's never been a better time! Perfect for him to use applications such as email, internet, calendar and GoogleMaps for work, he's sure to love it.
2. Shirt
If your Dad is like mine, he will wear the same old t-shirt every... single... day. He'll also hate shopping, so buy a new shirt for him as his Xmas pressie! This shirt is a Steven Alan Boyfriend Shirt, stevenalan.com.
3. Watch
Everyone needs to know the time, and it's better to check it in style! This stylish watch is a Brown Matte Leather Watch from armaniexchange.com.
4. Lawn Mower
Maybe it won't be the most exciting present your Dad will ever get (unless he's in the minority of men who like mowing the lawn), but it will certainly benefit you. Who doesn't like a neat and tidy lawn? And even better if Dad does it for you ;)
5. Wine Chiller
That thing in the collage that looks like a vase... that's actually a very stylish wine chiller. A Vera Wang for Wedgwood "Vesta Wine" Chiller.
6. Cufflinks
Especially if your Dad wears a suit every day for work, buy him some stylish cufflinks! These ones are William Hunt Mini Diamante Cluster Cufflinks, flannelsfashion.com.
7. Cologne
Make your Dad smell nice with perfume for men. Try Silk Jasmine Eau de Toilette by Hugo Boss.
8. Tie
Can't think of anything to buy him? Just buy him a tie. This one featured is a Salvatore Ferragamo Woven Silk Tie, Prune/Cream Regular coloured.
9. Alarm Clock
Don't make your Dad late for work ever again, and this alarm clock featured is so cool! I wouldn't mind one myself. Found online at uncommongoods.com, you slip your iPhone into this stylish wooden dock, and voila! The only downside is that you need an iPhone to use it....
10. Briefcase
For a working man, a briefcase is a necessity. Make sure your Dad has a trendy one, and buy him this Three Gusset Briefcase from Barneys New York, barneys.com!

For Your Bestie:
(Going in clockwise direction)
1. Perfume
If your best girl friend wouldn't love a gift of perfume, I'd say she was crazy. Plus, perfumes don't have to be too expensive! Whether you buy a smaller version or a cheaper brand, the gift is just as nice and doesn't take too much cash out of your wallet. This perfume is DKNY Be Delicious, which is one of my personal favourites!
2. Lip Gloss
What girl doesn't like a good lip gloss? Try this delicious NARS Summer 2011 Wonder lip gloss, for only $24!
3. Mascara
This mascara is one that I personally use, and adore. With it's thick plush lash that volumizes eyelashes instantly, your bestie will love this Plush Lash Mascara by MAC.
4. Tote Bag
Tote bags can be used for school books, sleepover stuff, sports gear or everyday use! And I'm loving the gorgeous tote bags by Victoria's Secret, which come in heaps of different colours and patterns, complete with cute slogans. Buy at your nearest VS store, or order online at victoriassecret.com.
5. Underwear
While it's a little awkward to give your Dad underwear, it's usually perfectly fine to give some to your best friend! Especially if it's super cute like these knickers from Victoria's Secret, which come with cute and flirty words on the bum. Plus, they're incredibly comfy!
6. Body Lotion
Body lotion is a necessity for any girl who doesn't want ugly, dry legs. And while I love all of the Philosophy products, I'm especially loving this Be Somebody Lightly Scented Body Lotion which smells delicious and comes in a gorgeous bottle. Order online at philosophy.com.
7. Magazine
There is no better way to relax than snuggling down with a hot cup of cocoa and a good magazine. My favourites include Teen Vogue and Cleo.
8. iPhone/iPod Touch Case
If your friend is one of the lucky ones with an iPhone or iPod Touch, why not get her a fabulous case? Glitzy, simple, colourful or plain - there are so many great cases available now. My favourite ones include ones by Juicy Couture, Marc Jacobs and this glitzy gold one is from jcrew.com.
9. Bath Goodies
Whether you buy your bestie anything from a bath gel to a gorgeous soap, I'm sure she'll love it. And I personally love this raspberry flavoured, delicious looking bath bomb in the shape of a cupcake, which can be ordered at amazon.com. It looks good enough to eat!
10. Friendship Bracelet
If she really is your best friend, prove it by buying you both matching friendship bracelets. But gone were the scrappy, handmade rope ones we made as little kids - buy her this fabulous Juicy Couture one which comes in lots of different colours!

For Your Little Sister/Brother:
I won't go into detail of each thing, but featured here are things for a little girl (teddies, Barbie dolls, cute hair clips, fairy wands etc) and for a little boy (t-shirts, Lego, toy trucks, shoes etc). Message me if you want the complete details on something or where to get it!

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas, and enjoy all your Xmas shopping!
Love Kate xxxx
